What time is it?

It's WAKE UP BEN FROM HIS NAP WITH SNUGGLING time!

This has become part of Max's daily routine. It is, quite possibly, his favorite part of the day - next to bedtime.

He carefully crawls under the covers next to the sleeping log that is his fiancé and promptly cuddles up against his side.

Quietly: "Time to wake up, Benji."

With all Christmas gifts purchased, Max has had a lot of free time on his hands.

What has he done with that free time so far?

He's nailed a piece of mistletoe to the wall above the bed, which he is currently sitting on.

"Ben!" he calls. "Come here!"

Christmas Eve is a few days away, there's a ton of snow outside, a pile of cookies on the counter, and Max couldn't possibly feel any less festive.

He's not getting hopped up on spiked egg nog and candy canes and chocolate and cookies, he's not hanging out with his mom in toasty Florida, and he's not singing karaoke at the CONTROL Christmas party. ( Read more... )

So, this is great.

Max has to talk to Alex and explain that Ben's gone flying off the deep end and has taken up residence in another room, and that he has no idea which room it is, because Ben didn't tell him.

He has no idea where this is going to leave Alex.

A certain someone is attempting to force the holiday cheer back into this place (and the general cheer back into Ben) by baking cookies.

Gingerbread cookies. Yeah, that's right. HE REMEMBERED.

Unfortunately, he has no cookie cutters, so his gingerbread men look more like... gingerbread mutants.

And by "will play" I mean "will practice his karate moves by flipping around and jumping off the bed etc."

Unfortunately, he is not as graceful as he likes to think he is.

Being a woman was an enlightening experience, but it's not something Max wants to deal with ever again.

First of all, he couldn't go anywhere without wearing a bra, and those things are not comfortable no matter what the commercials say.

Max has found a way to release all his pent-up energy without whining at Ben for sex!

He's taken up running!

Which he just spent an hour doing, around the lake. In the cold.

And since this is Max we're talking about, he's completely overdone himself.

By the time he makes it back to room 823, his body is like a freshly refrigerated Jell-O mold.

He's only in Ben's room because Alice is there. Much as he'd like to be ~alone~, he's worried that the fluffy terror will go crazy if left unsupervised for too long.
